On October 25, 2018, Ryan Zick was presented with the William J. Lasarow Award for Outstanding Pro Bono Service to the Community. The award ceremony was held at the Roybal Federal Building and US Courthouse with remarks from Chief US Bankruptcy Judge Sheri Bluebond, Judges Vincent Zurzolo and Deborah Saltzman, and US District Court Judge (Ret.) Margaret Morrow, Public Counsel’s CEO.

Public Counsel, the nation’s largest pro bono law firm, honors volunteers for donating their time to make access to justice a reality for individuals and families who have nowhere else to turn for legal assistance and representation.

Public Counsel and the pro bono partner programs assist close to 8,000 unrepresented litigants a year. The Lasarow Award presentation celebrates this remarkable accomplishment that would not be possible without the participation of pro bono volunteer attorneys.
