April 13, 2016: Christopher Haskell, a member of the firm’s business litigation department, will present a seminar to the Santa Barbara Contractors Association addressing contractor’s licenses and the Contractor State License Board. The seminar will be directed to home improvement contractors interested in protecting their licenses and avoiding disciplinary actions by the CSLB. The presentation will cover consumer complaints filed by homeowners, the pitfalls with home improvement contracts, how CSLB is currently proceeding on disciplinary matters against licensees, and how a CSLB administrative action dovetails with a civil action filed by homeowners against a contractor.
